Dear Parents,
Last week was a truly sad week for our school
community. It was also Lutheran Schools
Week and I am so thankful to be in a place where we can talk about the Lord so
freely and openly. In class we spoke
about Abby and how we are so sad she isn’t with us anymore, but so happy that
she is in heaven, rejoicing! Please
continue to pray for Abby’s family and for our school. Also keep in your prayers, the man that hit
her. I don’t think that there is even a
word for how he feels. Pray with your
firstie. Talk openly with them about all
of this and listen to their feelings. We
are all grieving, as adults, but the kiddos are too….and they are going to
grieve in their own way. Watch for more
information coming home about grief counselors.
I thought that I would just share a few photos that I took
last week for Lutheran Schools Week….enjoy!
YUM!!!!
Can we do this every Monday, Miss Gallagher?!
Then later in the morning, Mrs. Hurley, Miss Jo, and the Kinders invited us down to the gym........ for a SNOWBALL FIGHT!!! It was SO much fun and took the edge off the tense day. This was for Letter Day. The firsties' letter was H. Can you figure how they ALL wore H things? Robby's was tough.....hint....look carefully at his shirt.....and think of a temperature..... Ha!
Worship on Wednesday at St. John's in Midland. Everyone had a great time at worship! We even got to listen to Mrs. Parson's husband speak! (He is the Vicar there.)
After worship we went into the gym and listened a to man sing!
Blessings,
Miss Gallagher
